Personally I have not used either receiver. I have used the 1500 and ParaDyme. I highly recommend usage of the Ag Leader "Customer Support" or "Knowledgebase" website. You can access it from their main web page under Support/Knowledgebase. Looking strictly at the specs from the Ag Leader support site:

(1) 1600: http://dealer.agleader.com/kbp/index.php?View=entry&EntryID=930

(2) 2500: http://dealer.agleader.com/kbp/index.php?View=entry&EntryID=730

Looking at the specs and forgetting about RTK capabilities of the 2500, using only "SBAS (WAAS)" and "Autonomous, no SA" the advertised horizontal accuracy is identical between the two. Both units are manufactured by Hemisphere. The 2500 has options for XP, HP, G2 and VBS, and GLONASS that the 1600 does not have available. There is an added cost to access these corrections as you may already be aware.

Again, note that I have not personally used either unit, but looking strictly at the bare bones 2500 WAAS compared to the 1600 the advertised performance is the same. Perhaps someone with hands on experience using the 2500 can chime in.
