just a vacant wide spot in the road now.

Even IF the cattle business got "trustworthy" good, it would take a bunch of thermal mass of youth to rebuild any type of civilization infrastructure.
150 miles 1 way to mcdonalds or a walmart or grocery store and no cell phone signal on most of it.

heck, even Jeremiah Johnson has left these parts.
