Just to the right of where you cropped the image are the map type buttons. I'm guessing the 1st of 5 is the one highlighted? (just above transparency)

If so, those "other attributes" need to be assigned when importing the file and you'll be able to use the Smart Rectangle map type (next one to the right) which is the default when possible.

It's unable to make that map at this point for you because SMS doesn't "know" all of the information needed to make each rectangle. Off memory, I think you need swath width, distance, duration, track (degrees), and whatever else you want mapped from the machine. (rate, speed, elevation, satellites in view, etc) This is also limited to what the display or software making the file included. Some systems will give you every attribute under the sun, some only give rate, speed, and elevation. In that case, you can't make a smart rectangle map.

You can interpolate, but then you're averaging to cover the whole field. Smart rectangles will cover the field, but with each rectangle keeping its unique value.
