Fairly normal, especially on 4wd tractors. The Ez-Steers T2 box only has Gyros in it - no accelerometers, so it can't tell the difference between a rock on the ground and a rolling bank. Autopilot is better for this.
All my customers using Ez-Steer just disengage before going through a washout, then reengage afterwards.
