It has not paid to be a risk manager??Depends on how you are doing that. Cash sold vs puts bought at the same time, I'll take the losses on the puts vs the loss on the cash anyday in a fast moving up market like we have had the last 2 years. The loss on the put is known, the loss on the cash is infinite.
