southern MN | Yea, that one is an accounting number; but you do have to build a shed once in your life, or rewire the farm once, or dig a new well once, or..... And those funds come out of this number, anyhow in my mind. Rarely do those big projects, but you need to account for them as they are big.
I have less machinery costs, but more repair costs. So less overhead up front costs but more per year charges, likely evens out in a low intrest environment.
Can have less fungicide, seed, and etc costs, but one might get a lower yield from that - depends on your climate and fertility on how those numbers sort out, but it will likely balance out in the wash - less costs, but less yield.
