My old 5100 will sow seed at higher vacuums.

Match the seeds to the plates as best you can and dial the vacuum down till you hear it click click click at low speed. Then I speed up to about 5 MPH. Get much better stands that way here. Learned how to trickle out sweet corn seed. Sweet corn plate might be the right option for you, don't know if popcorn plate is different or the same.

Prepare to wait unless you can find a dealer with them in stock.

I am sure you guys know what you are talking about and the newer planters are that much different than the original.
