Subject: Ag Leader ParaDyme GPS into GS2 for product control

NW IL
Spring 2014 we will be using a John Deere 1770NT 2011 planter. We run primarily ag leader hardware. Our tractor is set up with Integra/ParaDyme for steering. The planter is all set up for deere monitoring and control with GS2/GS3. The planter deal includes a GS2 display. We plan to keep our tractor set up with Ag Leader Integra/Paradyme for steering.

I know that JD requires Starfire ITC or 3000 for steering. For product control and monitoring on the planter, does the GS2 require starfire ITC/3000 receiver, or can I feed GPS from my paradyme into the GS2? I know how to get NMEA out of paradyme for 3rd party applications. Just not sure if Deere will allow 3rd party GPS for product control/monitoring in planter with GS2.
