If you look at the bottom of the adapter in picture #3 you will see two holes on each side. They allow me to bolt the bottom of the adapter to the threaded holes where the JD latch pin plates bolt on.

" Plus my old 1480 doesn't have the locks for the header latches so I had to add plates and use pins in order to keep the feederhouse latches locked"

It looked too difficult to make the IH "chain binder" latches work with the JD header frame pipe getting in the way,so I added the two tabs on either side of the bumper loops on the IH feeder housing. I put a 3/4 pin through the tabs and bumper loop on each side to lock the bottom of the adapter to thefeeder housing
