Pittsburg, Kansas

All that I can say is that I disagree with most of what you say, but you are in good company because probably 95% of the population have been taught and believe the way you do. That is why we are in the problematic situation we are today. I simply refer you back to all the links I provided, suggest you read and digest them, then logically think out the situation we are in and see if the pieces do not start to fall into place. Those of us who believe otherwise are in a very small minority. There is some comfort in being among the larger crowd.

"Inflation incentivizes owning assets, they gain value in relation to the currency/exchange unit, but not other assets."

This statement i absolutely agree with. Now stop and think who owns most of the assets, the 1%, or the 99%? This is also why I said farmers usually do pretty well under inflation, because they tend to hold real assets rather than currency. I have done well with inflation in my lifetime. From a purely self centered point of view, I should be encouraging it. But it is leading our nation down a path that is unsustainable and will end in tears. Avoiding that is worth more to me than my own financial expansion.

My opinion, as always.
