Subject: Raven Envizio Pro and Viper Pro As-Applied files

Anyone annoyed with these files? I have SST Summit Pro and AgStudio mainly and SST Summit Pro is the only one that I know that has the FODD drivers for importing these files (.jdp,.zip or .jdf) for planting or harvest data. Half of the time an error comes up trying to read in the files and it seems like Raven just does not get that they are "different" from the group, I have been battling this problem for a long time, starting with the RBin file days......uggghhhhh. I know you can export .shp files out from the machine or Slingshot website and have done both, but these files are limited on what you can do with them. In AgStudio or SMS or most other programs, you can bring these files in as an ordinary layer, but we would like them brought into the mapping system as a FIELD OP not a generic layer. Reporting and viewable data is very limited with a shapefile.

We need to get on Raven to get the FODD drivers out available to ALL mapping programs and just get it usable. Don't know what the deal is but we need it straightened out! Please tell me I am wrong and that I am doing something wrong.......I am a Precision Ag Specialist for a Coop and have been working with data for 18 years, have dabbled in all the big mapping programs over the years just to see what is best out there.......and these files are by far the most annoying!!!!!!!! Thanks for anyone that replies to this post.

Don't get me wrong, Raven has very good computers, they are accurate and fairly easy to navigate for our applicators, but on the Recording side, not so much!
