We have a 2470. We have used it for literally everything from deep tillage, final pass tillage, anhydrous applicator, planting, and as the grain cart puller. The 504 motor is very reliable and is the same motor used in the 13 & 1570 as well as all 90 series 2wd tractors. Powershift is reliable if taken care of- like most equipment if you use it properly and maintain it. Yes, it has a very slow raod speed; I think it is 13 MPH with 20.4x34's on it. Cab is great to see out of and has a great A/C unit. As others said excellent turning radius for a 4wd. My Dad prefers it to plant with over the 1270 or 2390. The biggest pain is that it has something 32 grease zerks on it and they need greased something like every 50 hrs, it maybe more often as Dad does it every other day. I was told that the 2470 was better than the 2670 as they pushed 504's output in it, which was still fine but most guys "turned the screw" even more and that is when all the failures begin. Ours has a pyrometer on it and if you watch it and match the proper gear to the load it works great. I would buy another without hesitation if we needed one. Disclaimer is I am biased to orange or red.
