Southern Alberta Canada | I put about 3000hrs on a 4690 with a dozer, loved that tractor. We used it for baling, best match for the Hesston big balers, governor was not too aggressive, PTO was soft and could be manipulated for rolling the plunger back and forth. wheelbase, weight and agility all worked together to give the operator and baler the best ride possible. I don't remember the dozer manufacturer but it was nice and close to the front wheels, worked great for pushing silage, the powershift was also a real good match for pushing silage. If I was feeling lazy to angle the blade I would just angle the whole tractor, crab worked good for packing as well as moving the blade beyond the front wheels while pushing dirt into sloughs and such. It also had excellent visibility all the way around, decent hydraulics and it was kinda neat looking :). | |
