+1 DEF isn't the huge bother that some manufacturers made it out to be. I'd rather deal with DEF any day over EGR. My 260 uses 1-2 gallons per hour less than the 245 that I traded for it. If you decided you need more of a horse, the 235 is the same tractor as a 260 so chipping it wouldn't be a big issue. Your dealer is right. There's nice incentives to clear out the Tier 4A line before the Tier 4 final tractors come on line.



Whats the difference in the Tier 4A and the tier 4 final?
