100 % agree with less stress. All the weight is on the 2 I beam columns that it sits on. Small amount on building to keep columns up right. I just fillled the 2 posts that it sits on with 30 inch diameter of concrete.They used to have a movie on website with free standing door mounted on columns and no building. Also all the bids I had I would of had to spend a couple thousnd more on building reinfocement  to install a bi-fold or regular hydraulic door.

  To me everything is good about it except mine is pretty slow going down in winter as is in cold storage. They claim they made them a little faster now. Also lose 6 inches of head room.
