Subject: Re: What nh3 control system for low rates??

NW IL
Our first year when we ran it, we had two main restrictions in the system: 1. valves on our NH3 tanks were limiting flow, and 2. there were inline flow check valves on the tank lines that did not need to be there. The check valves were redundant (there were two inline check valves presenet - only needed one). Once we resolved the above two listed items we are able to run conservatively:

JD 9560R 4WD
24 rows DB60
160 units N rate on soybean stuble
tank pressure 50 PSI and under
~over 7 MPH

Once we hit say 7.3-7.4 MPH, the product could not get to the bar fast enough and we had to slow down.
