Missouri | Ag Leader is a proprietary system. They are not bound by the limitations of a compatibility-based standard. With their modules and wiring on the planter, and their display in the tractor, they can quite literally do anything they want, without the burden of maintaining compatibility with anyone else's anything else.
A typical ISOBUS-equipped planter does the same things an Ag Leader-equipped planter does, but it has to do it within the confines of what the standard allows. All the planter controls are confined to the virtual terminal window. Compared to the fully integrated solution of the Ag Leader system, it does have some ergonomic disadvantages.
If you have a non-Ag Leader display, and that's what you want to use, ISOBUS is the system for you(I think of it as the better solution). If you have Ag Leader, or you're willing to consider Ag Leader, I recommend it (I think of it best solution). | |
