Well, there isn't much that you can't access really quick with just some stands and a minimal amount of tools.  I could probably have a 1086 split and the clutch sitting on the shop floor in about the time it takes to dismantle enough pieces from a 66 series cab to be able to remove a starter.  No, it's not an M Farmall or 620 JD, but it is pretty simple stuff.

I still vote for the 5088 route.
