You shouldn't have to turn off the headland logging when backing in to corners. The monitor shouldn't care.  I know some of you are having trouble, but I'm not sure why.   I have done dozens of fields with all kinds of twirls and curls and after I complete the headland the monitor gets ride of that and smooths the swath paths out nicely.
