Subject: Good used Deere planter monitor suggestions.

Iowa
With everyone going to 20/20 or similar, I am hoping to find a very good monitor for an older Deere planter. I was going to a used 20/20 w downpressure readings (but no on-the-go automatic adjustment), as I was quoted $3500 this summer. Precision dealer comes yesterday wanting to put it on--guess what? $5900. Not doing it.

Currently have an old D-J monitor that leaves a lot to be desired. I can live without singulation and such as I send my meters in every winter and they have been rebuilt with all precision parts, and I've been getting very nice stands and spacing since that update. But I would like to be able to trust what the monitor says- mine is sketchy.

What do you recommend for a decent population monitor? Are there ample supplies laying around since everyone (but me) is moving up to aftermarket stuff?

Recommendations and where to look for one appreciated.
