NC Iowa | We run Trimble GPS unit in planter tractor on Omnistar HP for guidance, and Precision planting monitor.(No row clutches or Hyd drive at this time) We save our AB lines for each field. We are looking at trading for a newer JD combine, 9670, that is Auto guide ready. We do yield mapping during harvest so will need to have something as a receiver in the combine. Unsure of what to look at now. Thought about a near new JD receiver on SF 1 or SF 2 and 2630 display. and using JD yield monitor. Also will want to run row sensors on our corn head for guidance. Don't know that we need to have guidance on our platform as we don't grow that many soybeans. Other thought was to use the Precision Yield monitor instead of JD's. Like to have any input or thoughts on Precisions Yield monitor VS JD yield monitor.
Also wondering if there is any way to use my planting AB lines saved thru my Trimble and have them downloaded into JD 2630 if I went to SF 2, and use them for harvest. Thanks, Mr.D | |
