Subject: EZ Boom and Surestop electric clutches

NE Kansas
I've been visiting with the local implement dealership about putting clutches on the planter (12 row 1250 chain drive with an early riser IV). They would like to go with air clutches and upgrade my ez 500 and EZ boom to a Case branded FM 1000 and field IQ. This system would then run the clutches and replace the early riser IV. I'm not opposed to this, but I was hoping to use my existing set-up and use electric clutches; mostly because I'm cheap. I'm already using the ez boom to shut the half-width disconnects off.

From reading previous posts, using Surestop electric clutches and the EZ boom is possible. I have two concerns, the first is the amp draw on the clutches. When all but a few of the clutches are engaged will there be an electrical issue. The second concern is whether or not the early riser IV will be buzzing at me every time a clutch is engaged and a row is not planting.
