North central, IA | Another point, which should be the basis of all ethanol promotion, but which the rfa, the ncga, the Iowa corn growers, the ethanol promotion board, and every other farmer financed organization misses, is that corn uses the absolutely FREE energy from the sun to produce and store a usable form of energy.
The corn plant is the most remarkably ingenious and efficient solar energy collector ever devised. And it not only collects free solar energy, it actually converts it and stores it in form we can use. If they would tell that story we wouldn't be losing the public opinion battle.

Just a comment on Ethanol energy balance.
