What you are missing is that none of the complaints made are ever mentioned when we don't make ethanol... The talk of grain bins and transporting fertilizer are at best silly, or even transporting the grain and or etol, since this all would happen anyways.

Just saying if there had been no ethanol mandate would those inputs be needed ? Or would we just be growing a 8 bil. bu crop , I can remember when like '75 the corn was maybe 4.5 bil.bu. How about this thought, let's use up other countries resources and save out fert. and land for when we really need it. With the world using 89 mil. barrels per day of fuel the long term solution has to be more than ethanol . Let's just agree to use ethanol when it makes economic sense . Hope may lie in "peak demand" for crude and with cars better on mileage and other energy sources maybe the crude demand graph will trend down , I doubt it but world changing events come along when we least expect them and can change everything
