Have a John Deere AutoTrac controller kit installed in your tractor, put the 2630 in the cab and the StarFire Receiver on the roof and the JD planter behind and go to work, it will all work together like it was designed to do.
But this forces 2 displays in the cab (assuming he wants to use the Pro 700 for vehicle control/monitoring), and he's probably trying to avoid that, especially since one of them he'd have to buy... The 700 offers an all-in-one solution, though it would require purchasing some electronics for section control.
