From reading this thread it appears that there maybe more than one problem going on here.  The maybe a problem in the cell side of things and there maybe a receiver hardware or firmware problem.  GLONASS helps any RTK system from the stand point of acquiring and keeping RTK FIX.  I would ask AL to give you a temporary GLONASS unlock to demo.   I would also try an external modem or cell phone.  And neither of these will fix the Geosteer firmware problems.
