I tried 4 -Calmers stalk rolls on my 8r22 JD 40 series corn head. In dry conditions it left a 20-24" corn post sticking up, shredded everything else into 1.5 to 2" bits-what was left standing may be easier on tires, when I combined after a rain event-more trash on the stalk was present, cost was around $1000/row-didn't do their chain or deck plate conversion. Will complete the other 4 rows for next yr.
