Brazilton KS | Regarding sizing the cart, I would base the decision on keeping the combine moving. The combines the primary machine. Carts trucks and augers are support equipment. It has been my experience that is is nearly impossible to catch more then one bin from the combine and get unloaded and back in time. We usually don't end up loading the cart full anyhow so I don't see the bigger cart being a tremendous advantage for us. My instructions to the cart operator are to always have something in gear....if you aren't unloading you better be ahauling butt to the truck or back. If you are sitting still pretty soon you are going to have combines waiting on you. Because of the need to catch the combine again before it's full, turnaround time is the key. | |
