Subject: RE: 2410 John Deere Chisel

North central North Dakota

How deep, how fast and how good of a welder are you?

I have a 9420 and a 41 foot 2410.  I think 39 should be all I should pull with that tractor for what I would like to do.

In my soil types and the depth I want to work the ground, it has worked for me but at a cost.  The 2410 frame is not very strong. Picture shows just one of the breaking areas.  I have been told the last few years of 2410 have frames made stronger than the early models.  I have seen 55 footers being pulled by 9420's but to me it is being used more as a cultivator than a deep ripping type chisel work.
