The physical base is not in Colorado. Lexington, Alma, and Doniphan are likely your closest reference stations. Physical reference stations be viewed here: http://vrsnow.us/Map/SensorMap.aspx

I can't tell exactly where you are. But if you are more than ~25 miles from a physical base, yes you are going to have problems with that receiver.
