South Central NE | This is an interesting thread...The pastor at our church was at one time a missionary in the Congo. He told me that one of the most interesting conversations he ever had was when he tried to explain the whole concept of a yard and lawn to a Congolese man. Because the man had struggled all his life to put food on his family's table he just could not understand why we would not be growing food on that yard. And he saw the whole lawn thing as a colossal waste of time and worse yet garden space. Just some thoughts. My kids say I tend to ramble... | |
