Turn your new door upside down and leave it for a while until the glass settles against its upper retainer.
With it still upside down run a nice bead of caulking (clear silicone) along its vertical edges and let it dry.
Then turn the door right side up and install it.
The caulked edges will help to take the weight of the glass and eliminate the stress on the lower edge.
