Subject: Re: Envizio Pro II

Butterfield, MN
dgrimmius is right on the Envizio Pros. The 063-0173-258 is an Envizio Pro II, which is most likely only capable of running WAAS, but could be unlocked to run with RTK correction. The 063-0172-865 is an original Envizio Pro. It can do anything a Envizio Pro II can do, other than it is only going to ever be able to run on WAAS correction. Otherwise, they can both be updated to the same level. Since you'll probably want to update software, the Envizio Pro II can be taken directly to the newest version on the Raven website. If the Envizio Pro has software loaded on it of less than 2.3, you'll need to update it to that point. Then call the Raven tech support hotline at 800-243-5435 to get a free unlock that is required to update to newer software versions. It's a Windows thing that they need to keep track of, but it is free. Once this is done, you can update the rest of the way. The link to the Envizio Pro update webpage is here: http://www.ravenhelp.com/en/Product%20Support/Field%20Computers/Env...
You'll need to click on Software Updates and Download Additional Software Versions if you need to get to version 2.3. You'll need a USB memory stick to get these updates done.

Here are the cables you have:
115-0171-326 Gen I CAN tee cable
115-0172-001 Gen II Envizio Pro console cable
115-4001-085 Gen II steering only chassis power cable.
115-0159-822 harness RS-232 (null modem cable)
115-1001-003 harness accuboom (generic for 440, 450 etc.)
115-171-787 antenna cable
063-0172-651 GPS antenna (MBA-6) Will work with either Envizio Pro, but would have come with the Envizio Pro II.
(2) 063-0172-369 Gen I terminators
063-0172-316 accuboom control node

With the 115-4001-085 and 115-0172-001 cable, along with the two terminators you'd be able to put a system together and power it up for simple guidance, and it would be easy to add steering to it. You mentioned SmartSteer, but you may actually want to check out SmarTrax MD. It's the system that replaced SmartSteer. SmartSteer is ok, and would probably be great to get if you can get a good deal on it, but SmarTrax MD should be right around the same price new and has a far superior motor unit. If you ended up using a 440 or 450 type SCS console, you could hook the 115-0171-326 CAN tee cable, 115-1001-003 Accuboom harness and 063-0172-316 node up to it. If the SCS console has a serial port on the back, you'd use the 115-0159-822 cable to connect between it and the 115-0172-001 cable so the Envizio Pro can log application data. If you wanted to do your application a different way, the SwitchPro would probably be a good option. It looks like you've got a really good start to a basic but upgradeable system. Your dealer should hopefully be able to get you help with what you're trying to ultimately accomplish.
