Hit a old stump this afternoon. Will have to buy new sickle bar and sickle. 20' 1020 that otherwise is in great shape. Has SCH prodrive. The floor can be flatten back, but the back edge is starting to get thin. Thought while it is apart put new floor on. All of this could cost maybe $2000. Head is in otherwise great shape. After reading on here about the issues with the 1020, should I just look into a JD head and fix this one later or part it out? Mine cuts great, and so far this fall have not had much issues with dragging, but have had some in past. So any thoughts on this. Thanks.
