Subject: Re: 2013 kinze imp switchs

The problem im running into is guys in my area always plant over terraces. im located in ne Kansas there are terraces of every shape and size. I have found mounting whisker switchs on the contact drive arms on 3600 fixes the problem because no matter what the row unit does the switch will not trip and shut all the rows off. The problem I have with mounting them on the row units is when you plant in the terrace channel you row units that are in the center where the imp switchs usually are travel in the lowest part of the terrace so as they bounce at 5 sometimes 6 mph depends how much people feel like lieing they trip on and off and shut the drives off. I can say I have had less issues with the new mag style switch as compared to the old roller stlye which you could set perfect one day and the next it wouldn't be even close, but it seems half the calls I take in planting season are problems that have to do with imp switchs. it is a necessary evil but sometimes frustrating.
