In early 80's we had a salvage yd 10 mi from where we farm and i remember rows and rows of combines being parted out and alot that looked new. Iwould guess alot of repo machines being bought cheap and parted out. There was alot of tractors also .What i meaning the machines where not old but was from the colapse of late 70's and early 80's.
