Unless they just gave you the slingshot data, in which case I don't think you'll have anything SMS can read. They may have to go back and tell the Viper to export shape files if it didn't the first time.
Once you have those, you won't choose the top option for reading from displays. You'll pick the bottom one for read from a generic source and then choose shape files.
