Central IL | Fascinating article. When we switched to minimum tillage back in the late 60's and early 70's, we began to have lots of monster dandelions growing in our fields each spring. Always thought that they were probably good for the soil and they were never a problem once we planted the crops. Not sure when they disappeared, but guessing it was when we started planting RR seeds and using Round Up to control weeds. Wonder what it would take to bring them back? | |
