Hayhudohio, I feel the same way.  Growing a lot of RR canola now, as it is a good way to suppress/control quackgrass which is everywhere here, thanks to decades of pasture.  But in the fall, I really dislike seeing that bare ground in the canola stubble, perhaps my fear is unfounded, but I do prefer to see something green, using moisture, fixing N, feeding the critters in the soil, slowing the rain drops before they hit the ground, making some more channels in the soil.....
