It can be difficult to determine if Steering Input Device (SID) or wiring harness is causing DTC to occur.
Interchange steering wheel position sensor connectors at SID.

Observe which DTC returns.
If same DTC is generated, suspect wiring issue between SID and SSU.
If DTC for other position sensor becomes active, suspect issue with SID.
Steering Input Device (SID) contains two steering wheel position sensors. SSU monitors signals from both sensors.
