NW Iowa | You can't use the on screen icon on the new R series Deeres. You have to use the arm rest switch. Probably has something to do with the unlock on the R series to allow 3rd party steering. It seems like it could be an issue with the switch but not necessarily. I've used Paradyme and Geosteer on 8335R and 8235R tractors and not screen this issue.
If it starts steering when you push instead of release could it be that you aren't pushing the switch all the way in? The problem with diagnosing this is it could be a bad switch but just as likely the JD system isn't sending the message or the GeoSteer isn't receiving it. If it continues to be an issue it might be worth it to contact your Ag Leader and/or Deere dealer. Maybe the tractor system needs an update? | |
