Accuracy is increased once a receiver is maintained in a static position. Civil survey GPS receivers are held over position for 30secs to get a more accurate position.
same as a base station averaging down a position over time. Accuracy figures are usually stated "static" or 15 min pass to pass I am trying to get as true as possible representation of elevation.
