Subject: Pro 600 & 6088 combine speed accuracy issue

Illinois
While cutting beans I noticed the speed reading on the combine post at very high rates -- up to 60 mph. The Pro 600 gave the same reading. The readings didn't hold very long and slowly backed down to being accurate over a several minute period. The problem is that this error greatly increased covered acres on the monitor, which has skewed my yield data.

I assume I can somewhat correct the issue with SMS software by overriding the covered acres, but any ideas why this happened? It is making me wonder how many times during the season it has happened and where I might have bad data. I didn't realize the combine post was tied into the Pro 600 either, in that they give the same speed readings. I thought they were independent, and that the combine's reading was some sort of manual sensor, while the Pro 600 reading came from the receiver.
