Dietrich, Idaho and Mountain Home, Idaho | I am installing a raven smartyield(same as loup) system on my JD 9500 and need help figuring out how to drill the hole for the optical yield sensor on the back side of the clean grain elevator(not enough room to drill from both sides). The installation instructions say to drill a 1/4" pilot hole from the outside all the way through the elevator and then enlarge them to 7/8". The instructions say if the back side hole isn't lined up square then just drill another until you get it right. That seems pretty stupid to me since I might just make swiss cheese out of the elevator before I get it right! Is there a good way to get the hole on the back side square without just drilling and hoping for the best? Thanks. |
