ok, you shouldn't have any problems, then. Version 16 was the first version that enabled the 9-pin port on the bottom, so I wanted to make sure you were at least on 16.
You may need a breakout cable to ground pin 5 on the RS232 line, but I'd exhaust all other possibilities first.
