Iowa | 1. Yes it is great at steering, data logging, etc.
2. It is more the powerful enough to do all the tasks at once. The screen layout is very nice and allows you to see everything without having to flip to a bunch of different tabs or pages.
3. You can have a foot switch or finger tip switch. Can also touch the steering wheel icon that is on the screen itself.
4. GeoSteer on Omnistar would be a great option. We have them on multiple machines and they work very well. Could also use the Paradyme (Dual Antenna Roof Array) but I think the Geosteer is just as good for less money.
5. The steering systems have tilt compensation built into them. The only issue you may run into is if you are on steeper hills and you planter falls down the hill which would keep it from running centered behind the tractor. We have some hills and don't run into that issue very much so I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
