Rockford, IL | I am not arguing with you just trying to look at it differently. I hardly get paid out either but I do not expect to. I view it as protection in case something goes wrong with the many different pieces of farming that I pay for to grow a good crop. I do not look at it as a yearly payout. Same as car insurance and life insurance :) Last year it works due to bushels and this year is worked due to price. I use is as a marketing tool and it saves me a lot of money throughout the year.
