Rockford, IL | This will be the third year that MPD has been around. The insurance world is bringing forth what are called private products that are approved by the RMA. I enrolled in a different private product called Price Flex that let me sign up back in July for my 2014 crop insurance spring price. I now have a 2014 corn spring price of $5.24. I know it is still available for October which might make sense as I think the Oct. average of the CZ14 contract which is around $4.80 ewill more than likely be higher than the rest of the remaining months this year. Both of these products are available in the corn belt and are good opportunities. I also bought Price Flex for my 2013 corn crop insurance and my spring price is $6.27 instead of $5.65 which give me a 30% loss just on the revenue side alone. | |
