Can Farm Works Mobile control a Raven Sidekick? It has been suggested to me that if the Sidekick uses the same communication protocol as the SCS 440, then Mobile can be used to drive the Sidekick. Any suggestions?
I am not certain if the communication protocol for a SideKick is exactly the same as a 440. All of Raven's protocols are similar but not exactly the same. For example the protocol for a 440 is very similar but not identical to that for a 450 because of the difference in the number of boom sections. Since the Sidekick can handle 7 sections and the 440 only 3, there may be a discrepancy there.
With the Ag Leader products, you pick the appropriate Raven device when you build the configuration. The Ag Leader will "know" which protocol is proper for the Raven display.
