Dave you mentioned several times about seeing the newer gears fail. 

I have not seen that with mine but suppose its entirely possible. I don't run my head super fast either in rpms or ground speed so I'm not pushing it to an extreme. 

What else can you share about the failures that you have seen.

The welded gear did not appear to have much if any wear on the actual teeth. For now I'm going to run the other 5 boxes with the welded gears. Just bugs me that I'm sitting on 5 more potential problems.If I have a catastrophic failure with them I still have my 4 row head as a backup the offer to trade was a bit of a slap because of low demand.
